My laptop only has a standard monitor output. I wanted to know if there was a device that could connect to it or a USB in able to output the screen to a TV. I guess the signal would need to be converted and then output via svideo or scart. Any ideas guys?

I have two Toshiba laptop computers. I have backup discs for one of them. I have no sound on the other one and was wondering if I could use the backup discs from the one on the other one.

The one with backups discs appears to be older, but is running XP and has Celeron 1.5 ghz processor. The one with no sounds is running XP and has Celeron 1.4 ghz processor.

Or, do you have any other suggestions? The one with no sound does not play sound at all. No program sounds, won't play CDs, and the speakers make no sound at all. I checked the device and it says that it's working correctly. It also says that no driver is installed and either no driver is needed or the driver is not installed.

These are both previously owned computers. I need suggestions for a "fix". Thanks

I am currently thinking about buying a macbook, I have never used a mac before, and I was wondering if there are any downsides to getting a mac, such as hardware problems, crashings, compatability with peripherals, and other things. So if anyone has an opinion about this, can you please let me know. All answers are welcomed.

My laptop has a small crack at the top of the screen and there is a area about the size of a nickel that is black from it. It gets larger and smaller in size, it even disapeared all together for a few weeks then came back. I was wondering if anyone knew what I could do to get it to disapear or what to do to stop it from getting bigger. Thanks.

Ok so here is the deal, I am kind of a noob on this subject so I am asking to get the best results. I have a Dell Precision M70 with Windows Vista Ultimate. I would like to be able to hook up a LCD TV, to use as the monitor, and watch the Media Center. I have been looking at Toshiba 32 inch LCD TV's, and the Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150 MCE Kit - TV tuner / video input adapter - PCI to allow myself to access all the Media Center Features. I need to know the following: Which LCD TV is a good choice, what cables I need to purchase to get a good quality display, and will the laptop display still remain on when hooked up to LCD TV ?

I recently bought a Acer Aspire 5610Z and want to put the elder scrolls: Oblivion onto it, but I am not sure if my system can handle it. I have an Intel Pentium dual core processor T2060, 1 gig of ram, but the chipset is mobile intel 940/943/945GML (no idea what it means its coming out of the users guide) featuring intel graphics media acceleratotr (GMA) 950, up to 224MB of shared system memory, supporting microsoft direct X 9.0. It's quite a mouthfull but all I want to know is if it can handle Oblivion, and maybe the knights of the nine expansion.
