I have recently purchased a lap top with Windows Vista, my home computer is windows 98 I think I have worked out how to save data from the home computer to the memory stick but not sure about the lap top any ideas greatly received.

Plug it in! It should show up in my computer as a removable drive. Drag files into it or out of it or use copy and paste..

If you got it work in Windows 98 then do it the exact same way on the laptop...just plug it into a USB port and it should show up as removeable storage. Your desktop may be Windows XP...I know that Windows 98 does not support those USB memory sticks (unless you have 98 Second Edition...it might work with that).

The laptop will be a breeze! Windows 98 did not come with USB memory stick drivers as standard, so you had to install things. The laptop will be plug and play!

Just put the memory stick in the laptop's USB port and wait for 20 seconds whilst it sorts it all out.
