My laptop has a small crack at the top of the screen and there is a area about the size of a nickel that is black from it. It gets larger and smaller in size, it even disapeared all together for a few weeks then came back. I was wondering if anyone knew what I could do to get it to disapear or what to do to stop it from getting bigger. Thanks.

This is the liquid crystal escaping on to the screen...it's kinda like ripping a hole in a bag laying flat on the floor full of water...the postition will determine if the water is released...

This will only get worse most likely. Kind of like a crack in a windshield.

I suggest getting a new screen from http://www.screentekinc.com or on eBay, stores like http://stores.ebay.com/laptopscreen1

Good luck.

If the LCD itself is cracked, then there is not much you can do.

It will continue to get worse, and eventually you will not be able to use it.

My suggestion would be to keep an eye out on ebay for a used version of your LCD. It will probably run you at least a hundred bucks, if not more.
