I use my laptop a lot for music (iTunes), photos (editing & just uploading from my digicam), internet, and Word/Excel. I'm looking for a computer that has a lot of storage, but also works at fast speeds as I am usually multi-tasking. I currently have a 4 year Sony Vaio and the battery life is about 5-10 minutes and is really really slow. I would prefer a "name brand" that is reliable. Suggestions of even ones that are slightly over $1,000 are ok too. Thanks! =)

I need a new computer and instead of buying a new desktop right now I'm looking for a laptop that I can tote around with me. I go between my apartment, school, my internship and my parents' so I need something I can bring with me to do work on.

I've used PCs my whole life and I'll admit I'm a lover of Dell computers. My step-father is the IT guy for UPMC and they run on Dell, I trust what he trusts and Pitt will trust, too.

But, I took a technology course for education and we worked with iMacs and I have to say I'm a fan of the Mac now, too.

Computer people--which should I get? My step-father says to stick with a PC, he knows PCs and it's what he works with incase I encounter a problem. But anymore, it seems like the Mac has more to offer.

I'm about to get my elementary education teaching certificate. I do a lot of book-keeping, but I also need to create a lot of documents, webpages, interactive things... Which do you think would be best?

My HP laptop overheated (likely CPU chip). I live in a dusty clime, don't dust it often. My work is 7:30AM to 10PM (phew! busy! lots of clients...) Because I am near a plug, I keep it plugged in (with 12-cell battery in place) the whole time. Laptop is relatively new (purchased in 1/06). Help me avoid this problem! Overheating from dust or battery?

I have a dell laptop. The touch pad mouse keeps moving on its own. I tried using a regular mouse with it and it did the same thing. Once it starts moving there is no way I can get it back under control. I even have to use the mouse pad keys to turn it off.The only thing that seems to help is turning it on and off until it works again. Or hitting it until it stops.

I am looking to purchase a new gaming notebook. I just bought an Alienware notebook and after 2 weeks of hell with them and their computer I sent it back for a full refund. I am looking for something with at least Core 2 Duo T7200 and Nvidia Go 7600. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
