Well, you need to do a little detective work.

Is there a light on your power cord and is it on?
If it is on, does the power icon on the bottom right side of your screen change to "charging" or something like that when you plug it in?

If both of those are fine, you probably have a bad battery. They don't last forever and some types die especially quick if not allowed to fully discharge before a charge.

If the battery charged fine before you took it in for service, I would take it back. They may have accidentally put in an old battery instead of yours. They don't need the battery to do maintenance, (just the power cord) so I usually hold on to mine to avoid just that problem.

If you've had the computer for 3-4 years, there's a very good chance that the battery has simply lost its ability to hold a charge. Assuming the computer runs off AC power without the battery installed, you should try replacing the battery.

Rechargeable batteries can only be recharged so many times. It sounds like your battery is dead and it is time to buy a new battery. If the new battery doesn't work, then it I would just buy a new laptop or try a different repair shop.

Sounds like the battery went bad after all it is at least 3 or 4 years old. All rechargeable batteries have a limited life span.

what u can do is buy a new battery and see if that works. If that works ur battery is no good. If the new battery doesn't charge either the charger r the battery is no good.
