someone from my broadband service told me to get rid of Internet Exployer 7 and call the Notebook manufacturer for the IE6?
Does anyone with computer tech knowledge know if this is the correct advise

I have a Dell Inspiron 1150 with a 64 mb graphics card with shared memory. I'm not sure if it is built into the motherboard or not. Anyways, is there a way that I can upgrade the graphics card on it, or is my best bet upgrading the memory? Thanks.

I am going to totally redo my computer so it is like new. But I was wondering if I will have to reinstall my sims 2. When I got sims 2 it would not install on my toshiba laptop. So I had to take it into Best Buy and have them install it in a exteral hardrive. I was just wondering if you think that I will have to take it in again and have them install it.
or is there another solution?

READ: i will be using my laptop for multi-tasking: gaming, game development, software & other applications, web development, school (email, internet, microsoft office or apples office applications), multimedia (photos: editing and storing, videos " ", TV: recording, etc., etc.) and pretty much everything else. so i need the fastest proccessor, good graphics and sound cards, lots of hard drive space, and whatever else. hope this helps in telling what i need for the "top of the line" laptop. thanks.

I have "clouds" when the screen is at an angle. Also there is a mark going across and gets bigger anytime I shut the laptop. There are speaker marks going across the bottom border of the screen, and are impossible to get off.

hello my dell inspiron 1100 has a broken power jack that somebody tried to soldier before and messed it up but it still powers off the battery so i would like to know if i could get some information on the battery where the power of the nine leads on the battery comes out

basically i want to connect my ac cord with 2 wires to 2 of the nine leads on the motherboard to power it up thru there i know its possible please give me some info

He uses his laptop and i think it would be a good idea in case his laptop ever crashes. I just don't know to much about it and want to get him a really good one that can store alot. My parents want to get me a notebook comp for X-mas to use in college. The programs I will be working with are very memory intensive, such as Photoshop, Poser, Bryce, Etc. I really want a tablet pc because I like that the tablet is built in. My budget is between $1,000-1,400 USD. I am considering Dell, Toshiba, Gateway, & HP. I need something with lots of memory and battery life, that can multi-task well. Any suggestions?

I am in the market for a new laptop...and I'm deciding between the intel Duo core and the Core 2 Duo processers.
does anyone have any advice?
