hello my dell inspiron 1100 has a broken power jack that somebody tried to soldier before and messed it up but it still powers off the battery so i would like to know if i could get some information on the battery where the power of the nine leads on the battery comes out
basically i want to connect my ac cord with 2 wires to 2 of the nine leads on the motherboard to power it up thru there i know its possible please give me some info

its never good to do your own repairs...you probably voided your warrenty now....my suggestion would be take it to Dell before its too late buddy..

www.batteryfuel.com get a new one before you blow up the battery
