You have two choices:
1) Purchase a new keyboard from a parts reseller (Price: ~$20-60)
2) Remove the keyboard from the laptop (following the disassembly instructions included with your documentation OR on your vendor's website. Then wash the keyboard thoroughly and set it in a place where it will dry rapidly and safely (i.e. in the sun) to prevent rusting.
Repeat this process if necessary.
Depending on the substance, it may have eaten or damaged the fragile rubber that springs the keys back up, so you may need to purchase a new keyboard.
P.S. You might also be able to pop the keys off, but look at your manual. Some of the keyboard buttons break by design when removed.

First determine if the screen is glass or plastic. Acetone (nail polish remover), petrol, paint remover and other solvents can melt or cloud the screen if it is plastic, and you can bet it will void your warranty!! Try a little acetone or alcohol on a corner of the screen to make sure it won't damage the screen before you proceed. Acetone and alcohol are generally the best things to use for removing sticky residue from hard, non-reactive surfaces (I use it all the time for removing sticky labels and price stickers from merchandise).

Use some Q-tips, and rubbing alcohol. Dip the tips in the alcohol, and then you can get between the keys. I do this at least once a week, before they get to bad. It might take a little time do do it, but it will look like new, when you are finished..good luck..

The easiest way would be to stop looking at teazer33's profile - although i guess its too late for that. When i've been looking at her profile I usually find just a damp cloth will suffice.

I'll dig out all the keys and wash them. Please don't remove all at one time if you are not familiar with their positions. You can remove them one by one.

You can pop the keys off with a knife blade - wipe them, and press them back on.
