Do you have a BIOS password or a HDD password?

If you have a BIOS password, go to the manufactures website and you should be able to download a utility from their website to remove it. If you cannot find one, you might be able to find one on eBay.

If you have a HDD password that is a different story as the information is stored in the HDD firmware locally. Moving the HDD into another computer will not work.

Is the bios password protected or is the os password protected? If its the bios you need to remove the cmos battery so it will reset. If its the OS, google passware, but you will need another computer to make the recovery discs. By the way, you do not have to uninstall the OS. and if the bios is password protected, reinstalling OS will do absolutely nothing for your problem.

First of all, are you talking about a BIOS level password or an Operating System password. It depends on which one you have to get in. If its BIOS level, call the vendor. If its OS level (microsoft). Use a hacking tool to reset the admin password and get back in.

It may be difficult to retrive the pass word. I can give you a link that deals with hard drive problems. Some RAM/hard drive problems can be easily fixed yourself by using easily available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in useful. Try this site, if you can get what is required.
