The older of our two PCs is having a problem where the battery for the internal clock has died. The computer is still usable but I have to reset the clock and date anytime the computer has been turned off. It is a pretty old computer Pentium II but it serves as an extra computer for the kids to play their games on. Is this something that is easy to fix? I have installed drives and RAM and such but I have no clue what this battery look like.

here is what i got: Dell Dimension 4550, Intel Pentium 4, 2.53GHz, nVidia GeForce4 Mx420, 1.5Gb of DDR Ram, 60GB Hard Drive, 10/100 Network Card.
what im looking into is: Vigor Stealth AE, Amd Athlon 64 x2 am2 3800+ @ 2.00GHz, 2000 MHz FSB, 512Kb x 2 Cache, Vigor Tornado dual 120mm case fan, standard 500w power, Msi K9N Neo f Nvidia nForce 550 with 2000MHz FSB, 1Gb of DDR2 Ram 667MHz, Nvidia Geforce 8500 GT 256MB DDR2 @ 450MHz, 200GB hard drive 7500rpm, 10/100/1000 mbps pci network card. that about all the specs i got but it runs about $670 for the Vigor

I am in the market for a new computer and I'd like something that will be able to meet the requirements for playing computer games. I'm not looking for top of the line equipment, just something that will get me by without too many problems. If anyone could give me some advice on these areas, I'd appreciate it:

1. CPU (Minimum Athlon/Intel processors to consider)

2. RAM (1 GB or 2 GB? And what type of RAM?)

3. Video Card (I need the most help with this, every computer I've ever bought seems to come up short in this area).

I'd welcome any other advice or comments you might have. Thanks in advance!

Im thinking of buying an EVGA 8800GTS 320MB, but I don't know if my power supply is adequate enough for it. According to my power supply at the moment (Speedfan) here are the voltages:

+2.5: 1.47V
Vcore: 1.27V
+3.3: 3.35V
+5: 5.12V
+12: 12.06V

I know it says on the item description that it needs to have a minimum of 400watts/+12V rating of 26amps, im just not sure if my power supply can get up that high with the +12V rating and not sure how many watts it can put out. I looked on 3 different sides of the power supply for a readoff of the ratings, but I didnt see them. Im guessing its either on the side thats blocked from my view, cause its IN my computer, or theres no list of ratings. Please can someone tell me if you think it can handle an 8800gts or am I gona need to get one?

First of all I don't play high end PC games or anything, but do everything else.

The 210 is so awesome cuz it's so small but the 410 might be a bit better tech wise and more upgradeable..
which should I get? would I be happy with the 210?

i have a brand new computer that came with windows vista. the computer runs very slow and i think it is because of the RAM. comp only came with 512MB of RAM and i heard vista can eat up 700MB just sitting there doing nothing. it takes like 5 or 6 seconds just to close and internet window out. Will more RAM solve this problem?

I'm running WinXP SP2 on an HP Pavilion *DESKTOP* and I'd like to set my PC to hibernate (not standby) after 60 minutes. However, the only option I have is a checkbox for "Enable Hibernation"- there is no option to specify how long to wait before hibernating. Can anyone tell me how to set it, or how long the system will wait before going into hibernation?

Thanks in advance.
