are the beeps short long or a mix of both.
what kind of motherboard or computer do you have?
try getting the correct error message and reposting it.
theres a problem on your motherboard, maybe your memories bad or your cpu is overheating
you can obviously get online, or you wouldn't be here.

occording to the next answer 3 beeps (on a ami bios board) is failed memory.

You need to get on the Internet, go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer or motherboard, and look up beep code and the error code. It will tell you exactly what the problem is.
Or check your owner's manual. It may be in there too.
OR do what Mercury 2010 tells you to do. He didn't get to have a 37 percent rating for nothing. : )

there are 2 common and universal beep codes that this might be.
long-long-long: indicates no or bad memory
long-short-short: indicates no or bad video card (can also be caused by not having the monitor cable connected)

Sounds like you might need a new battery for your board.
Depending on the # of beeps.
The batteries are cheap (flat watch battery type).
Get a flat head scew driver & replace it with a new one.
Try that first.
