here is what i got: Dell Dimension 4550, Intel Pentium 4, 2.53GHz, nVidia GeForce4 Mx420, 1.5Gb of DDR Ram, 60GB Hard Drive, 10/100 Network Card.
what im looking into is: Vigor Stealth AE, Amd Athlon 64 x2 am2 3800+ @ 2.00GHz, 2000 MHz FSB, 512Kb x 2 Cache, Vigor Tornado dual 120mm case fan, standard 500w power, Msi K9N Neo f Nvidia nForce 550 with 2000MHz FSB, 1Gb of DDR2 Ram 667MHz, Nvidia Geforce 8500 GT 256MB DDR2 @ 450MHz, 200GB hard drive 7500rpm, 10/100/1000 mbps pci network card. that about all the specs i got but it runs about $670 for the Vigor

so is that a good upgrade for a gamer with limited budget? i just got into war of worldcraft and i like to be able to play other games. is this a good for the money or there is better out there or things i could change on this one computer please let me know i just want to buy the right computer this time

yea for a limited budget its fine. it also has a nvidia 8 series card, which is dx10 supported in vista

It sounds like a good setup for the money.

The only question I would have would be what BRAND the power supply is.

Most of those prebuilt computers come with cheapo power supplies.

I would suggest upgrading it to a decent quality PS when you get a chance.

Yes this is a good upgrade and for that price. The system as a whole will blow you away in its difference.
