im so confused, i want a mac computer but my mom thinks i should get a laptop!?

I really want a mac computer but my mom is saying that i should get a laptop because for high school it would be easier...i no it will be, but computers are more durable and they are faster but laptops are small and easier to take with you...........what should i do im so confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A laptop is a computer. I assume you're comparing a laptop to a desktop system.

I think you're mom is right. Unless you're doing something that requires some serious performance such as graphic rendering or you are a serious gamer then you're going to get all the performance power you need from a new notebook.

Of course if you are the type of person who doesn't take care of your stuff then maybe a desktop system is better suited for you.

It more sounds like your mom may be the one confused.
The Newest Mac Laptop's can run both OSX and Vista from Microsoft. The happen to be the only computers on the market that will run both Mac Operating System and Mirosofts Vista Operating System.
And it comes on some of the higher end LAPTOP'S

A MacBook is a very, very good computer. It's a laptop, but it's great for Internet, video, photos, games, word processing, etc. They're very safe from viruses and other security issues. Appease her and get a laptop, but make it a MacBook laptop.

Unless your high school lets you have laptops then what does it matter.
After high school is over when (and if) you go to college your computer might have problems or be outdated for what you need and you'll get new laptop or computer anyway.
