If these setings are enabled I get some annoying noise after booting. If the processor's temperature is highre than 20 everything is ok but if the temperature is less than 20 I get that noise.

This problem appears the first time my pc boots I get the short beep to say the system has booted successfully but then I get a long beep until the windows screen appears. After the first time it boots I dont get this beep again until my pc has been off for a period of time.

The one that pops out to put my cup of coffee on. The tray even has a hole in the middle which lets any drink I spill fall through. Could the PC maker not have a better design?

When I press the power button the power supply light and fan come on for a slipt second, and so does the cpu fan...but thats it..after that nothing. I had the power supply check and they said it was good. So maybe the motherboard? How can I know for sure before I go buying new parts...and without spending a ton on diagnotics at the computer store? Thanks for your help!

I have Windows XP installed, but not so sure it was a good installation my PC rebooted a couple of times half way thru the installation. Somehow, the machine is able to boot to C drive. However, I would like to do a fresh installation and I can't seem to boot from the installation disc off the CD rom.
I have configured the bios to boot with priority to CD rom and in fact was prompted to hit any key to start from CDrom. However, it still boots from the C drive.

I have the operating system CD's (drivers, utility programs, etc.), but do not know how to install them. I get an error while they are being installed. Do I have to wipe out my whole hard drive first, and then start from a new? And, How do you do this? I have a hewlett pachard and it is operating on windows ME.
P.S. It has a virus and it's driving me crazy.

I'm thinking of buying an area 51 7500 system but found a dell and customized it with most of the simliar hardware (but not all: liquid cooling, alien ice, alien fx lighting system, light scribe) but could easily upgrade for one or two hundred more dollars. But the dell was for $1500 LESS!!! I know alienware has way better quality especially compared to dells exploding batteries but a 1500 dollar difference is a lot, please explain

I always unplug my PC whenever I don't use it to save power. After a few months I can't get started. It's power source or something that was busted according to a technician. The same thing had happened to my cable modem just recently. Is it advisable to unplug any electrical appliances to conserve electricity even they are not being used for a short time?
