I have Windows XP installed, but not so sure it was a good installation my PC rebooted a couple of times half way thru the installation. Somehow, the machine is able to boot to C drive. However, I would like to do a fresh installation and I can't seem to boot from the installation disc off the CD rom.
I have configured the bios to boot with priority to CD rom and in fact was prompted to hit any key to start from CDrom. However, it still boots from the C drive.

Hi,
Go to BIOS Setup and go to boot priority and set priority 1 to CD and then insert the CDC into CDROM and press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart the PC to boot from CD.

you have to be quick when it says "press any key to boot from cd"
you only have a couple of seconds.
