In attempting to install a Bell South DSL system for my computer, the installation was halted with a message that no Network Interface Card (NIC) was detected. I was advised to take care of it and get back to the installation. I have no idea how to obtain the appropriate NIC. I don't know if it's generic, and one size fits all, or whether it has to be matched to my make and model of computer (Dell, about four years old), or whether I should just ditch the computer and buy a newer one with the NIC already installed. Apparently most newer computers have these NICs, but... I'm totally at a loss. Any help will be appreciated.

I found an alternate brand of memory on amazon, but I don't know if it will work. I have a dell dimension de 051 with Intel celeronchip and and only 256 mb ram. I found a Kinston 512 mb module for dimension for about $100. will it work?

The DVD plays ok that is sound & vision . on external speakers .
But the CD and internet radio have stopped working .
the graphics show it is working on the moniter .

Sorry i no nothing about Megabytes and Gegabytes (lol) but yeah so i'm just asking all those out there that would know (lol). Gosh i feel dum aye but hey i will never know if i don't ask, um, Not just photos but also video as well. So in other words would 512MG have more space than 2GB?

I have an external hard drive that I have a bunch of data on but it has died and I REALLY need the data thatis on it. when you plug it in NOTHING happens, I have tried several diggerent external hard drive cases to see it it was just the connectors in the case but they all had the same result. If I put in a different hard drive into any of the cases it works fine so I am sure it is the hard drive....does anyone know of any data recovery places I could send it to to get my data back? OR does anyone know how to get the data off of the hard drive?
I have even tried putting the hard drive into the pc as a slave and it still would not work.
I have windows xp pro...no drivers are needed for this.

I've never burned a DVD before, and what I have is a CD rewriteable drive. I can burn CD's no problem. But I want to burn DVD's. Is there anyway I can do this with a CD rewritable drive? I can watch movies on my computer. I have a DVD ROM drive.
