zune(ipod) when i plugged the usb it says the ZUne player is not connected when it is?

Zune worked before now after i connect to my computer it it only makes sound and the software doesnt pop up!

try opening the software first. If i plug in my ipod before opening itunes. Windows pops up asking which program do I want to use and it gets everything out of sequence.
