Building a dell notebook atm (Inspiron), but never worked with amd's only intel. If someone could explain me abit about them and possibly say what they are equal to if you compared them to Intel?

Anyway, she tried "Alt. -- Ctrl. -- arrows" and it didn't work.

its a Compaq Presario V6105NR. its model numbers are RG390UA#ABA.

i really want to know if it can upgrade the processor its 1.73 ghz, and i want to upgrade it. to be higher, or add another one or something

Okay. I currently have a toshiba A215-s4747 which I heard break alot. I have the option to keep this computer and get a sidekick for christmas or return this computer (bought it a few days ago) and get a brand new macbook for christmas and nothing else..

Is the macbook worth a month waiting for?

All my life I have used Windows, and now I feel I really want a mac laptop. They are so beautiful and they seem to work alot better than xp. But the problem is I have no idea how to run anything that is mac. I dont even know how to turn a mac on! I really really want a mac book but I'm afraid I will have trouble using it knowing nothing of mac.I guess the question I am posing is, For my next laptop, should I stick with a windows, or should I get the Mac that I really want, though dont know how to use? And if so, what are the pros and cons? If you were in my case, would you buy the mac?

When I turn on my laptop, it just starts to load, the windows XP screen comes up with the little bar moving back and forth, and then a blue screen comes up for about half a second and then it shuts down and restarts and comes up with this message saying "We appolgize for the inconvenicne, but Windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this..............................."

When i turn my laptop on, it doesnt go any farther than the loading page so take that into consideration when answering.

Can someone tell me how to fix this?

i am using an old p3 machine with 64 mb ram and with so may problems. one is, it turn off sometimes and restarts. (displaying improer shut down). second one is, after working for 2 to 3 hours, when we give the print command, it won't responds. if we insert a floppy, it displays can't read from the device. then we shut down the machine and keep it in rest for sometimes. when we starts again the second problem will not be there. can u tell me the reason. is it the problem of smps or processor or something else ?

I was hoping someone could help me out, I need a desktop a good one, fast, and good looking lol ya.. this is what i want from specs
1) 2gb or more ram ( expandable to 8gb but can be less)
2) 160gb or more hard-drive, the more the better obviously as long as its under a $1000
3) Intel core 2 duo with a clock speed of preferably 2ghz or higher, (i believe intel core 2 duo is the best processor right now not sure though if there is better please let me know)
4) Good graphic card that supports games like, counter strike, gunz, call of duty,strategy games,mmorpgs like maplestory, runescape, and all those, and can keep up with new games coming out for computer.
5) Thats about it, and if it comes with a monitor and all thats even better, monitor size would be 17" or higher, 17" is enough for me though not to crazy about that, but 19" would be perfect.

P.S: Yes my demands are kinda high, but id appreciate it if you know a computer that has these specs and you tell me. Thanks

At my school we have to use computers. Well my hardrive crashed so we sent it back and we are supossed to get a new computer today. Well for the last 5 weeks i have been using my moms. I have not downloaded anything broken anything put any viruses nothing. but today she went to buy my computer she got one exactly like hers and she told me she is going to keep that one and i have to keep this one. I don't think it is fair because for the past 5 weeks i have not had internet at school i have missed assignments. And i would like a new computer. Am i wrong for wanting that

is it possible, that when I start my laptop, the system information says that my processor is a core duo one, and when I look at the system information, yes it confirms I indeed have a core duo processor - but is it possible that this was doctored?? because my laptop moves as slow as a pentium 1 computer!! and its only a couple of weeks old! Could the computer shop that sold me this have doctored the system information? I havent installed anything big on it so far, so it should move fast! no virus or spyware, checked that already.. And the memroy is a decent 100 Gigs, with 1 Gig ram (or something like that)

so what the heck is this?
