1. Assuming you really mean deleting files in storage, not the stuff in memory chips on the motherboard (which you do by turning off)
2. Then you have to make a choice as to erasing to blank, leaving no operating system or erasing the stuff you put on.
3. If you want to only erase the stuff you put on and then make it so nobody can see it even with special looking - open My Documents - type Ctrl-A, which will select all, then push your delete key, after confirmation it will delete all the directories and contents to the trash can. Then go to the Desktop and empty the trash can. Now go to the internet and download a large video (or save one before deleting everything by copying it to C:\) to My Documents - copy it to memory and paste it with new names until storage is full - that covers up all your old stuff. Again do Ctrl-A and Delete and empty the Trash Can. Now if someone looks all they will find is bits of the video.
Unintall programs if you want those off or if each program stores stuff in individual places and you left it there.
Do Ctrl A and delete on the Desktop if you kept documents there.
4. Go to the Internet and look for 'Freeware Disk Wipe' and down load a file and follow directions.

You can't delete memory, I'm guessing you mean delete all the files on your hard drive? If so, just go into "MY Computer", and right click your C: drive and click "Format"
