All my life I have used Windows, and now I feel I really want a mac laptop. They are so beautiful and they seem to work alot better than xp. But the problem is I have no idea how to run anything that is mac. I dont even know how to turn a mac on! I really really want a mac book but I'm afraid I will have trouble using it knowing nothing of mac.I guess the question I am posing is, For my next laptop, should I stick with a windows, or should I get the Mac that I really want, though dont know how to use? And if so, what are the pros and cons? If you were in my case, would you buy the mac?

I would research the heck out of MACs right now, and buy one, if that's what you really want :) There are plenty of online guides to help you, before you even purchase one.

You can get a Mac.. but don't rely on it for everything, especially knowing nothing of it. Maybe you should try a free tutorial and/or practice with help from friends. The Mac does look and work somewhat better. Then again, most people say that you are either a Pc or a Mac kind of person. If was up to me, I would stick with the Pc. Only because I'm growing up with them, and I usually know the problems you face with Windows; how to or not to fix them. Good luck choosing...

I would get the mac. They are very user friendly and after about an hour or two of messing around, I would expect that you would become familiar with the operating system. If you still have trouble, Apple has a deal where you pay $100 (or so) and get one-on-one training at an apple store. They can help you learn the ins and outs of the system in no time. The $100 gets you a one hour session every week for a year.

If you do get the mac, you shouldn't have too much trouble picking it up.

Mac is not that different from windows, it is a computer after all. I switched from windows to pc 2 years ago knowing nothing and i learned very fast. The most important thing to remember is that wen u close a window by click the x it does not close the program, the program is still running. You have to press option and q to exit the program. learn keyboard shortcuts they will help a lot.
