Is this processer good? - AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-60 (2.0GHz/1MB)?

Building a dell notebook atm (Inspiron), but never worked with amd's only intel. If someone could explain me abit about them and possibly say what they are equal to if you compared them to Intel?

It'll do.

AMD's mobile processors have pretty much always been behind Intel's and the Turion is no exception but it is also quite a bit cheaper.

Performance of the Turion per clock is about the same as Intel's Pentium Dual Core mobile processors and inferior to a Core Duo and vastly inferior to a Core 2 Duo.

Still, it'll probably do the job you need from it just fine anyway and you are going to save a bit of money.
