I want the ibook G3. I found one with 40GB Hard Drive, 380MB RAM, for $120.00. Is it worth it?

I have an HP a1410n running WinXP. It came with 1 gig of ram (2x512) DDR400. I put in another 1 gig (2x512) in it to make 2 gigs. Strange thing is the BIOS now says all the memory is PC2100. I take out the new, back to PC3200. Take out the old put in the new, it says PC3200. For some reason together they run at PC2100 instead of it's PC3200 speed. They are not the same manufacturer but the RAM I put in is mid grade GeiL. The PC only has a 300Watt PS in it. It has 3 hard drives a DVD-ROM and a few usb periherals. An ATI 1600XT pci express card in it too. Is this a voltage issue where the power supply can't provide? Or is it a BIOS issue? HP supposrt has come up with nothing for me. I need your help!!! Why is my memory running slow???

I got PC2 6400 800mhz DDR2 ram that can run at 4-4-4-12.
Right now i have it set at 5-5-5-15 because i dont know if i wanna mess with the voltage. I am running just 2Gb, with a Amd dual core cpu 2.8ghz, and Radeon HD 2900xt graphics card. Would i really notice the change in the ram if i change it?

i have a canon i950 and for some reason when i request it to print a colored image it comes out either with the colors in the incorrect places or with out enough ink in some places (or no ink at all) and yes i have recently put new ink cartridges in the printer and the issue is still persisting so what could be the problem and how can i fix it

I don't know what's wrong with it. Me and my husband went out and got it a new power-supply, because it wouldn't come on when we hit the power button. But after installing the new power supply, it still won't come on. It's also making a clicking sound - like it's wanting to power up, but instantly dies. Could it possibly be the mother-board?

Okay- My toolbars do NOT disappear when I hit "full screen". Full screen is when there are no borders visible....My "task bar" disappears from the bottom of the screen, but tool bars stay on the screen...Is this a better question??? Thanks again!

I followed all the instructions on the big sheet that comes with it, uninstalled and reinstalled it, rebooted the hard drive, bought a new USB cable in case the problem rested with the old one, and when I try to print with it, I keep getting an error message saying basically the computer and printer can't talk to each other, to disconnect and reconnect the USB cable. Did that, no dice. I plugged the printer directly into a wall socket instead of a power bar, no difference. I do know there is a problem in device manager, where there is no USB printing support. I tried updating the driver for that and Windows won't update it, it says it's the best one available. I'm using XP Home and Lexmark is supported by XP.

I tried Lexmark tech support, they couldn't help me.

This is driving me crazy. How do I get USB printing support?

one of the worst enemys of gamers is the dreaded "lag",however what actually causes "lag"
i have it down to hardware problems such as poor performing hard drives,and onboard audio
what do you think causes "lag"

will a Ageia PhysX Accelerator card work with a a.g.p x8 graphics card
i ask this as it dosent state this anywhere and as the Ageia PhysX Accelerator is a pci-bus card then it will in theory fit in most motherboards

I am opening up a lan gaming center and would like to start off with 40 high end computers. It looks like I will be going threw dell for all my comp leaseing. They will be PC's and need to be able to run the top of the line newest games at the highest graphics set. Now I can get comps that are all that for about 5000 dollars but I want ones that are more affordible. So my question is what dont I need in these high end computers. Its so hard today to know what is actually "needed." So processer type, Video Cards, Memory types. all that jazz. I know a good deal about comps but some of this new stuff has passed me by. Please let me know some good gaming rig set ups and possible prices.

Could some one please tell me how I could install my Win 98 Cd on my
Laptop, The Problem is my CD rom drive does not wok. The floppy dive is fine.
If I copy the win cd on to my usb pen drive ( using a friends pc ) then copy this
On to my laptop desktop and try to install it this way well it work?

every time i plug in my head phones the thing you talk into shocks me alot i always have to unplug the mic n keep the head phones so it doesn't shock me when i touch it or speak into it its a LG Mic

I just built a new computer for the livivng room and its replacing the old one my sisters broke. It turns on and starts up goes to the hit f1 to continue or del for bios blah blah...i hit f1 and insert the XP disc and it says "Boot from CD _" then it says "boot disc failure enter system disc and hit enter"

I changed the boot order in the bios to Cd rom drive and tried it again....same thing happened. I tried to make my own bootable CD with windows on it still the same thing....

I didnt put in a floppy disc drive....theres only 1 HDD and cd rom drive....i tried puttin in the disc after the messege i changed a bunch of stuff in the bios then changed it back.....I have no idea what could be wrong now.

In the bios it says it detects the CD rom drive and the HDD (which is clear cuz i just bought it new)

Im so frustrated because it seems everytime i do something like this it never goes smoothly!!

Im going to go try to use a different CD rom drive right now....

I have a really old motherboard with a really old bios chip on it and I want to replace it with a newer BIOS chip from my other newer motherboard. I want to know if it is at all possible to remove it and replace it. I don't know if the following information will help but It might be good for something:
-the chip is rectangular on both the old and newer motherboards.
-the older bios is version 4.51pg and for some reason it recognizes the hard drive and it's capacity but when I try to install any operating system on it, it will set it up and then restart but then I'll get the following message, "NTLDR not found, press key to restart".
-there are no problems with the newer BIOS chip, however the motherboard it's on has a broken integrated video connector.

My black cartridge reads as 1/2 full and the color is empty but if I am printing in black why is it coming out red and fading. I am trying to print some PDf documents for a merchandising job I have to fill out and return and they were red and now have faded away, why won't it print black and can I change setting thanks dino56

Hi I can't pick up any wireless networks in range.. and I know there are some around b/c my husband gets them on his PC. My pc used to list the available networks.. and now it says makesure the wireless switch on your computer is on. I dont even know if this computer has one. But i can't figure out what's wrong. I can see wireless connection 2 that says not connected but i don't see wireless connection 1. I looked in the user manual but that didn't help. Does anyone know? Thanks
