Hi I can't pick up any wireless networks in range.. and I know there are some around b/c my husband gets them on his PC. My pc used to list the available networks.. and now it says makesure the wireless switch on your computer is on. I dont even know if this computer has one. But i can't figure out what's wrong. I can see wireless connection 2 that says not connected but i don't see wireless connection 1. I looked in the user manual but that didn't help. Does anyone know? Thanks

There should be a switch somewhere on your computer. Probably on one of the sides (front back left right) switch it to the on position and it should work. you also might have to change the ghz that you currently have enabled, but i doubt that. or your antivirus software could be blocking you rincoming wireless connections

Dell sucks bad!! Try something from Best Buy. I got a LOADED eMachine for $800. IF YOU HAVE AN OPTION...Stay away from Vista... Here's why... 1) Third party drivers/apps are not allowed unless “approved” by Microsoft. Some of your favorite software won't run on Vista because the drivers have not been "approved" by Microsoft. This also means that the digital camera you just bought may not be "allowed" to connect to the PC. 2) ALL media copied thru Vista is SERIOUSLY degraded. The mp3s that you rip, are not allowed to be full quality. Same with DVD's. Personally, if XP ever goes out of support, I'm going Linux

Hi. Click on the 'Wireless connection 2' icon and click 'Enable'. The connection may show a 'View available...' on the left column. Click that. (The icon can be named anything you like.)

Hi,
Check whether ur laptop is having any anti-virus software like McAfee or Nortan. If so, open the software and go to wireless option and enable it.
