Yes-as long as you have enough ports of the right types (IDE or SATA) and space to mount them. If not, you can always buy a USB case(s) and put the drive(s) in there. The amount of RAM you have is totally unrelated. If you add drives, things will get warmer in the case, so keep your eye on that. Also make sure you have enough power supply headroom. I've had three drives in a PC on several occassions. Right now I have a 320GB and 500GB in my PC.

First of all, your computer RAM has nothing really to do with adding a Hard Drive.

Added drives are always added in sequence by Windows. So if you now see drives as C, D, E & F ( F being your CD Drive since they are always last ) it is showing 3 hard drives ( C,D, & E) and a CD ROM (F).

If you add another drive, the first 3 remain the same but the CD ROM will now be seen as G and your new drive as F.

The only problems that could come up with this is that maybe a program you previously loaded will want to see the CD in the F drive to operate. You'd have to find the .ini file for that program and change the F to the G which is now the CD ROM designator.

In theory it most pcs are supposed to work with up to 4 hds. I've not seen it work in practice though.

I have 4 500gb usb hard drives on my pc. Very easy, just plug into the usb port and it works.

good luck to you

Yes it will still work. Your motherboard should support at least 2 IDE drives and possibly some SATA drives. In either case you can add additional drives.

Yes if you "slave" the 2 new hd's and you have enough bays in your box for 3.

Yes. You'll only be using one drive at a time. It makes no difference how much ram.

ram has nothing to do with it. just be sure you have a spare port (PATA or SATA) to connect your additional drive.
