I'm trying to connect to the printer on the main computer. This one and it are both connected to the router and are in a network. But when I go to Browse Printer (in Add a Printer), after I choose the printer it says it can't connect because either the name was incorrect or it isn't connected to the server.

Any solutions?

i have a nvidia fx5500 and i was planning on overclocking it,even though its just 2 months old...the problem is that my cards memory clock frequency is lower than before.when it was new, its clock frequency was 400Mhz and now its just 332Mhz...is it normal?the core frequency however is still at 400Mhz(just the way it was) what it the reason why the frequncy went down?

I have two laptops, one is a Toshiba Satellite Intel Celeron M, processor 1.5 GHz, 192 MB of RAM; the other is a HP Geniune Intel CPU T1350 @ 1.86 GHz, 782 MHz, 504 MB of RAM.

Now on to my question. I'm having major problems with the Internet. First of all, I can't get either of them to connect wirelessly. It SAYS excellent signal, but when I try to get online, it says "cannot display webpage." I know this means its connecting to the router, but the router isn't connecting to the internet. I can, however, connect hardwire. I'm getting excellent receive/send specs. My browser takes at least 2 min to open up a webpage though. It loads extemely slowly when it does finally connect to the page. I've done everything I can think of to do, but I simply can't fix this problem. Any help would be extremely appreciated!!!! Thank you!

I have actually a couple questions.

1. I have a GeForce 6150SE Video Card. Yes, I know it's not good. I was wondering, would overclocking the card make my games look better/run smoother? It's just going to be until I can get a better card, hopefully in the near future.

2. If yes to the above question, how do I OC my card?

3. What are the negative effects of OC?

I am looking at buying a Dell laptop and plan to use it mostly for Word, but will probably add some photos and music. I do not plan on playing any games as I am not a big game player. Do I need to spend the money to upgrade the video card? Does the video card do anything besides make gaming better?

Here's the deal. I have a homebuilt system that is teaching me as I go along. It's been about 2 years since I overhauled it, and I'm attempting to get a new video card to work in it.

System setup:
P4 2.8ghz processor (non dual or quad core)
2gigs RAM
550wt PowerLabs Power Supply
DVD Drive, 140Gig Texas Instruments HD, ect.

Old graphics card: ATI Raedon X800GT 256mb onboard ram.
New graphics card: nVidia GeForce 8600GTS, 512 mb DDR3 ram (both cards sit in the PCI slot).

Problem:
Ever since installing the new card, I'm having atrocious frame rates. I've installed multiple sets of drivers, I've reinstalled windows, I've called tech supports, ect. I am able to return the GeForce as defective.. but after I boxed it up I plugged inm y Raedon and the framerate problems are still persisting (albeit not as badly) so I'm not sure it's the card.. think ing it may be a power supply issue.

Does anyone have any recommendation on what I could do to turn this mess around? Thanks!

I just bought a new intel iMac that has a 1gb 5300 RAM module inside of it. I was wondering if it's possible to combine that with a 2gb 6400 RAM module, or if they both have to be either 5300 or 6400?

I have scanned some old photos and sent them on to relatives. Some are now asking if I can scan them again at a higher resolution. Only thing is, I do not see how the this can be varied. I have a Lexmark 5200 series all-in-one centre ((X5250) and I don't see any buttons for changing the resolution of scans. In fact I can't even find the resolution specifications of the scanner. I think I should stop with the details now as I'm beginning to sound like a prat.

Hi All,
I just got the HP photosmart 5280 today and the main reason I got it was so that I could scan all my photos in to my computer. Heres the problem. Everytime I try to scan a 5 by 7 photo I end up with a large image of white wtih a photo in the corner. I understand the scanner bed is larger than my photos but is there anyway to save just the image and avoid the 75 percent of the screen that is empty? I just want to save an image that looks like a photo. not a sheet of paper with a picture taped to the corner (which is more or less what the result looks like).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

my laptop refuses to start at all. When the start button is clicked, it gives a black screen with white writing that says there has been an error starting up and gives 4 different options on how to start up. All three options end up displaying a bunch of code then freezes when clicked. The last option restarts the laptop then displays a blue screen that discribes the error, but this only appears for a few seconds so reading exactly what it says is impossible. Has anyone experienced this before? I would really appreciate any kind of help..
