Your speakers are not your problem. You will have to get the drivers for your sound card and reinstall them.

Have you recently unplugged your speakers? It has been my experience that sometimes people accidentally plug their speakers in wrong. Make sure you have them plugged into the speaker outlet and not one of the others. Because if you have not made any changes to your computer, then nothing should be wrong with your drivers. Also, check your sound settings to make sure none of them have not been muted. I have included some links to help you troubleshoot sound problems.
Good luck,
Rags37:) :)

The drivers needed for the sound card will not reinstalled when you did the system restore. If the sound card came with the computer when you brought it, go to the computer's makers web site and they will have the audio drivers available in their "Download" or "Drivers" section. If you purchased the card separately, you will have to go to the card's manufacturer's web site for the drivers.

Nothing wrong with your system, you just need to re-install the drivers for the sound card. If you don't have you can get at this site.

Sure you haven't gone deaf! Just joking.
Just check to make sure that there aren't any hidden volume control knobs or buttons that you have accidentally bumped or moved. Look around the headphone jack and soforth.
If that's no help call the manufacture of your speakers.
Good Luck!
