i install the dvd-r to burn some files in dvd but windows not regonised. il hve to copy of dvd to empty dvd disc but when i put dvd disc nothing happen...only cd can copy for it...
i put one in master and other in slave still not regonised my dvd ...
need ur help very badly....

I think u r making mistakes in physicle connections see carefully u connect two dvd drives on your machins connect one as a secondry master and other one as secondry slaves.

HOW are you trying to copy ? With what Burning prog ? Nero ? Roxio ?
Do the 2 drives have letters allocated in Windows ? If so the drives ARE recognised.
Insert blank disc in 1 drive, source in the other.
Launch Nero smart start, or other equivalent, and use the DISC COPY function
Remember, you cannot copy copy protected media this way

Some burning software has a drop-down menu where you select your burner as a CD or DVD, depending on what media youre using--if you have that kind of software make sure you select DVD.

is this to copy dvd files to a dvd or copy regular files to dvd-r disc you have to be a little more detailed!
