I'm thinking of buying a laptop

I have a compaq persario sr1123wm and PCI cards are the only ones compatabile with it, not AGP nor PCI-E, anyone know of some graphic cards that supports directx10 but is a PCI card?
I mostly want one for my sim games and FEAR. but buying a graphics card with directx9c would be useless since everything will eventually move up to directx10

I'm looking at 3 HP comps. I use the laptop for legal work and a bit of gaming. I'm not concerned about high resolution graphics - just want to be able to run Madden at a decent framerate.

Here are the specs of the 3 comps:

Comp #1
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5500, 1.66GHz
2GB RAM
GeForce Go 7600 256 MB dedicated Video
WinXP Media Center

Comp #2
AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 Processor
2GB RAM
GeForce Go 7600 256 MB dedicated Video
Win Vista Ultimate

Comp #3
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7200, 2GHz
2GB RAM
GeForce Go 7400 128 MB dedicated Video
Win Vista Home Premium

Any recommendations?

Thanks
Rob

I checked the products catalog from a local computer store to buy RAM cards, I want to get the 1GB then there are these 3 types. What do they mean, which is better? Also, do they have any negative effect on the video card if I mix up different types? (e.g. I installed a 512MB 128-bit AGP video card, what type of RAM would be the most recommended from those I mentioned?)

I'm sorry if I might not make sense, I'm very thankful there are people like you who understand techno-mumbo-jumbo and have the time to explain these things to confused consumers like me..
Please explain in the simplest way possible.

Thank you very very much!!

PS:
Here are some specs of my system, in case you might need them that would be helpful in solving my problem.
Intel Core2Duo 2.0GHz CPU 800FSB
AsusTek P5PE-VM motherboard

I am planning on buying the emachines T5082 (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2983682&sku=E400-T5082)
And am also buying extra RAM (1GB). Will the current hardware plus the 1GB give me the basic needs, such as music, video, and using documents. I plan to install a video card later on, but I want to know if the system can give me what it needs right off the bat. Plus does it being refurbished affect performance?

I have an old Zenith Data Systems Z-Note 325L. I have seen places that sell the adapters, but they are rather expensive. Is there any way to make or modify an AC adapter to work with it? Machine is pictured here: http://www.zdsparts.com/images/znote32f.jpg
