Ive had a 16inch hanns g monitor now for a month and last night i was doing a virus scan and went to sleep,when i woke up my screen did not turn on.I tried differnet outlets,cords and still nothing not even a flash.Im using my old monitor now and it works fine so it cant be the tower.Help,i dont want this screen to go to ****,we spent alot of money on it.

I have always wanted to change the discs and pads on my peugeot because they are now at the stage where they are worn and need replaced. I normally take it to the garage but the cheapest quote that i can get for changing them is £400 supplied and fitted where as i can get the parts for only £120. I can normally do this kind of stuff without much hassle but i like to backup of instructions incase it goes wrong. Are there any mechanics out there who can give me step by step on how to do this or point me in the direction of a rescource which can help me. How easy would you say it was 10 being hardest 1 the easiest, All help much appreciated.

I just received a 22" monitor and it came with a DVI-D cable and a VGA cable. Originally I plugged in just the VGA but out of curiosity I checked my graphics card and it supports a DVI-D connection.
So, I unplugged the VGA and plugged in the DVI-D cable.
I'm not sure if there is supposed to be a difference visually.
I also don't know if you are supposed to have both plugged in together or just the DVI-D by itself.

Hey I believe my LCD monitor's backlight burnt out. This monitor also comes with a TV tuner built-in. However, when using the TV, the screen is bright, but when I use it for computing, it is very dim. I'm assuming the backlight burnt out and I need a replacement? And if so, how much would labor and parts cost?

I just got this old computer from my uncle and i believe it's 6-8 year olds.... i don't know what kind of motherboard it has but as right now, it is supporting Pentium 4 cpu with 1.60GHz, and it has 256MB of RAM (still have 3 more slot to put in)... How do i check if this computer can support a stronger cpu, ram, or video card? I wanna put maybe a 3.0GHz, and maybe 1gb ram, and 256mb video card.

Well My web cam Model Number was DVC-V6 and I find it really didicult to use it and I also asked many person who well web cam at my local place. I've searching for it for like 6 months now I also searched the Cnet.com Download.com and other popular download site, yet still back to square one so if you know where can i find this please help me. I just got my brand new macbook today through UPS, from American Musical. It works great. The only problem I have with it is that in the upper left corner, there's a small spot (about the size of a nickle or so) that, when the screen or laptop is moved, it ripples like water (seeing that the screen is liquid). It doesn't distort the color, and doesn't seem to be causing any major problems. It's just really annoying. Does anyone have any advice as to what this is/what to do? Thanks for your help!

few years ago the goal to buy a good monitor was the one that didnt reflect the room lights or the sunshine from the windows (to avoid the eyes strain), now the newest laptops have a bright display, almost like a mirror, you can see yourself on it clearly. Well my laptop crashed...and a friend got it turn on ATLEAST,which I am greatfull. But he said something like my windows XP needed a serial #. Although everything seems to work BUT....now it doesn't have sound. :( SO....it reads no audio devices. WHAT can be the problem? I've been on a MacBook Pro for a half a year, and I've discovered that many Mac users lie on Y! Answers.

They say that Macs get no viruses. Yet, I've at least got one serious one, and a few pop-ups have managed to come out.

That Macs offer OS X and Windows support - the best of both worlds. Running Windows on mine didn't work out so well, and I gave up. Plus, isn't it kind of cheating for Apple to do that, but not allow OS X onto other machines? Kind of a cheat to me.

They also make false accusations against Vista.

The UAC prompt only comes up a few times, and it eventually adjusts to the way you work, so that it doesn't pop-up that often. OS X has something similiar to this.

Vista performs badly. On crappy PC's yes. But high-end hardware works well.

Barely any compatiblity - I've got lots of compatibility. Just one or 2 things didn't work.

PC's are all bad. Not true at all. My Vaio works well.

Bugs are everywhere. Not!

So why do Mac users like to lie?
