Yes they get discount offers for pc's on a regular basis.
But a lot of firms 'encourage' working computers go home for 'work' done at home.
Sometimes, if you are around QA labs, they sometimes have fully fine pcs that must be gotton rid of, and they can't sell them, and they done;'t want them in a landfile, so that leaves a few for the employess to mess with.

Many consumer electronics/computer companies offer various discounts to their employees.
I really don't think that should be the primary reason for wanting to work for a company, though.
