pentium dual core is essentially two processors running together its a lot better although im an AMD person my self i can tell you hands down pentium d < pentium dualcore

Pentium Dual Core and Pentium D are NOT the same thing. They are NOT the same thing. This is one of the most common mistakes being made with processors right now. Pentium Ds are based on the old Pentium 4 architecture, basically just two Pentium 4s stuck together. The Pentium Dual Core is based on the same architecture the new Core 2 Duos are based on, the Pentium Dual Cores are just cut down versions with less cache, and slower front side bus speed than the top Core 2s.

It's actually the same! Pentium D=Pentium Dual Core! But Are You sure that it's written only "pentium dual core", you should ask that guy maybe it is core 2 duo(another better processor).
