i bought a new geforce 7900 gs graphics card, but i cant connecto it to my motherboard cuz the card has more pins. is there a converter or something i can do to make it work??

The 7900GS comes in PCIe and AGP format. There are no adaptors or converters but there are a few motherboards that have both slots. ONLY one can be used at any time. Have the card replaced with the right one.
HOWEVER, if your motherboard is one of those with integrated graphics and no true graphics slot, there are NO powerful cards for the SLOW PCI bus. 3D graphics improvement from a PCI graphics card over integrated graphics may not be significant.

The problem your having is the "Slot Connecter type". Basicly theres different slots for certian things. The 7900 gs has a slot type called pci express it seems that your motherboard ony has a pci slot not the more modern pci express. Any way theres nothing you can do but take it back and get pci graphics card, but i strongly reccomend getting a new motherboard that supports pci express because pci graphics cards are really bad quality because of such low bus speeds etc. I know a place/site where you can get a good motheroard for about 35 pound if you contact me i will give you all the details for it. There is no AGP to PCI-E or PCI-e to AGP converters. You need to have both the video card's interface and the motherboards interface match. Now you have 2 choices, get a video card that is compatible to the motherboard or get a compatible motherboard. Before you do either, do some research by visiting sites like Anandtech.com, tomshardware.com, or the website of your favorite motherboard manufacturer. Some of the tried and true best are: Asus, Gygabyte, Abit, MSI. Good luck and if you need more info, I'll be watching this question, just edit your question with what you need.

Nope. Take it back and make sure you get the right one AGP or PCI-e. You might also want to check with your motherboard manufacturer whether you will need a BIOS update or will it even run the card.

try to plug it to the PCI if the if u can`t plug it to the AGP
but for sure the PCI slot is much bigger than the AGP and on the AGP u have 2 big plugs...
