I have always wanted to change the discs and pads on my peugeot because they are now at the stage where they are worn and need replaced. I normally take it to the garage but the cheapest quote that i can get for changing them is £400 supplied and fitted where as i can get the parts for only £120. I can normally do this kind of stuff without much hassle but i like to backup of instructions incase it goes wrong. Are there any mechanics out there who can give me step by step on how to do this or point me in the direction of a rescource which can help me. How easy would you say it was 10 being hardest 1 the easiest, All help much appreciated.

First you need to reformat. Then reinstall. Load your "Driver". Then ask someone in the automotive forum. Have a great day.

Ummmmmm and this has what to do with a computer? If you are going to replace your brakes go buy new breaks and a good repair manual. Then start reading the manual, follow the manual when disassembling the brakes paying close attention to how things come apart. put the new brakes on and reverse the process.

Or you could just take your car to the mechanic and let him do it, that way you know it is done right and you won't go flying off the side of a mountain screaming NO BRAKES! NO BRAKES!

I think what you're looking for is a Haynes manual. Each manual is dedicated to a particular type of car and includes instructions and diagrams for most basic maintenance tasks. Their website is at http://www.haynes.com/ Although it looks like their US site is under construction their UK site still sells US manuals as well as foreign language versions. Might be worth making a phone call to them to be sure. The link below looks like it could be your car.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE in this category because our discs (platter) are sealed by Seagate, Maxtor or WD.
