It was working fine a few minutes ago, but the monitor blacked out on me and turned off while the computer was still on. (But the on/off monitor button light is yellow like it always is when the computer is off).

So when I try to turn the computer back on, the monitor doesn't do anything (while the computer itself seems to turn/boot up)


Everything is still plugged in.


I don't know what to do.

im buying a new graphics card for me computer. its a dell dimension E520 and im wondering, would i have to get a dell graphics card because i have a dell computer, or could i get like a Nvidia Geforce, like this one

I just purchased an HP printer and I thoght it was "plug and play", but I get asked for a password when I try to install the printer. How do I get around it. I don't have the mac's install cd, all I have is the printer's install cd. Help!

I have a 160gb hard drive and 256mb ram what would be the best setting for my swap file?


In a few days I will have a total of 768mb of ram and still the 160gb hard drive, what would be the best setting for my swap file with this much ram?


BTW I already know that its best to keep the initial and maximum size set at the same size

Hi Everybody~
I'm in a real spot here. My computer is brand new & worked just great until now. I don't know what I clicked on that I shouldn't have but sunddenly I have NO sound. I have gone to everyplace I can think of that deals with this trouble, but so far nothing works.
If anyone can help me I sure would appreciate it.

I have a Fujitsu 40 GB 2.5" laptop drive, model MHT2040AT. I want to connect this drive to my desktop computer. I have already bought an adapter to connect this drive to my computer, but for some reason, the BIOS System Setuprecognizes it as "Unknown Drive" and i can't do anything with it. How do i make the drive usable?? ---I have two other hard drives, SATA (main windows drive) and IDE (backup). I want to install this drive to put Windows Vista on it.

has an arrow with round circle. says you need to change to an administrative account. You cannot delete it. You have to click "ok" and the pc will continue...until OK is clicked holds up everything. Do not know where it came from. Any suggestions?? Thanks

My computer has a 300 watt power supply from the factory, I have since added an ati radeon x1600 pro pcie gpu. When I am gaming with the video options set at a medium to high level my computer will crash. This has happened in WOW (extended playing) and Battlefield 2142 just after 5 minutes. I plan to get a new PSU but until I do are there any risks?

I got sucked into a deal where you buy a whole bulk of ink cartridges for your printer at a discount price. Since I have bought them, our printer quit working and we had to get a new one (nothing to do with the ink, just a very well used printer) Well, now I have 7 ink cartridges that are not what go in our new printer. Is there a way I can sell them or does anyone know a company who will take them?

My P.C's tower keeps making the same beeping noise over and over again and turning itself off

It has been on all day (and used heavily) is it somthing to do with it being overheated?

Every time I turn it on again it keeps beeping and nothing happens it doesnt load up
