It was working fine a few minutes ago, but the monitor blacked out on me and turned off while the computer was still on. (But the on/off monitor button light is yellow like it always is when the computer is off).

So when I try to turn the computer back on, the monitor doesn't do anything (while the computer itself seems to turn/boot up)

Everything is still plugged in.

I don't know what to do.
Please help, thanks.

First, if you have another monitor, connect your computer to the other monitor and see if it works. If it works then most likely the problem is with the monitor. If you are using a CRT (cathode ray tube) monitor then most likely it blew out and you need to get a new monitor. A CRT is just one big light bulb. If you have a LCD monitor then recheck your cables and be sure they are securely connected.

the yellow light is because you monitor is not receiving signal from you PC. anyway you computer go to reboot because is you hard drive that is do it... disconnect the power cord of your monitor.. and put it back in 10 seconds... and try again.. but becareful put on/off the computer without see what you doing... because you can create more problem than the solution.... why you not try to change the pc to another monitor.. if the pc re-boot you no have problem with you video card... is not you video card... and you need to change you monitor... or fix it... but I think is better is you buy another monitor..

good luck

skill of removal truly! the possibilities of a connecting cable failing is extremely distant yet no longer unknown. Does the visual reveal unit heat as much because it truly is common temperature? Do you get a scrolling message from the visual reveal unit asserting on the traces of "No sign" whilst the visual reveal unit is disconnected from the workstation? Is the flexibility easy on? have you ever tried yet another visual reveal unit? Do those exams first until now you start up suspecting the video card.
