It just so happened to occur the same week the warranty ran out that my desktop pc wont load windows.

What Happens:
- once turned on the computer will load up with a black screen and provide the options such as:
to load into safe mode
load safe mode with commands
load windows normally
etc

Not one of these options succesfully load windows.
Instead the windows screen will show with a bar moving and then it will go back to the same screen as if the computer has just been turned on again.

I will be taking it to a tech but thought id ask if anyone knows why this occurs and is there a chance to save the precious data on the hard drive?

On writing yesterday I took Brianthesnail advice and ordered the X1950PRO (with wifes approvall) the seasonic 500w PSU & the two 512 ram cards which takes my ram to 2gigs.The only thing I now wish to ask is on my original PSU I have a white 4 pin plug that plugs in the motherboard .Should this plug be on the new PSU.Thanks again to all the people that answered my questions and will let you all know if everything fits and works okay when it arrives.

I have a Dell XPS GEN 5 Specs: 3.4 GHZ P4 HT, 1 GB DDR2 RAM, 250GB HD,Double Layer DVD Burner, DVD Drive, Front Bay media card reader, Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS, nvidia 256mb 6800 GTOC, power supply 460 watts, I was looking into getting a nvidia 8800 gts 640mb or the 320mb, since Dell has its own parts and what not which we all know is hard to upgrade anything major on it, my question is will this pc be able to handle the video card, im also going to be getting 3gb ddr2 ram, please respectful opinions thanks again

Everytimes I open the game, my computer just restarts. I have read all the requirements, and I checked them of like so...

-Windows XP (32-bit) with Admin rights
1.7 GHz Intel Celeron D / Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP/ Sempron or greater
-I Have XP pro with Admin rights and I have an AMD Athlon XP


-512 MB of RAM or more

-I don't see why it would be neccecary, I only have the demo

My question :
This system left me completely broke. I used up most of my money on it. Do i need a stronger power supply for the card that i am using, or is 500 Watts enougph. I am using a 22" monitor, and will be playing games on a very high resolution.

I felt like increasing the OC i've done i had it running with 15% OC and i wanted to stretch it to 30% to compare =\. I've done the worst thing. Anyways Immidiatly after saving and rebooting the computer would not turn on the fans turned on and the lights but no response from the monitor, keyboard or mouse. THere was also no system "beep". I tried resetting the CMOS but removing the battery for some time and jumping it changing the jumper to pins 2-3. No luck. Solutions? What did i damage? I doubt it was heat that caused this since it had no time to heat up.

Hello,
I am trying to connect my MacBook to my Magnavox TV. I have a MacBook NOT a MacBook Pro.

I believe this is the cord that I need:

Are there any other cords that I need other than this one, I believe so because there are no cords that would connect from the T.V. to the adapter piece.

Could someone show me a picture of the cord that I need or show me a link where to purchase the cord that I need?

Also,
If it makes a diffrence these are the following outputs on the back of the magnavox:
D-Sub
S-Video
coaxial
and those three ports (yellow, white, and red) for ps2.wii, etc.
