Each time I turn on the printer it prints the test page which wastes ink and is a hassle. Anyone know how to stop it from doing this??

Yes. You need to run the initializing setup on your hp-software on your pc. The printer is tryin to initialize if i remember correctly the test page will even tell you, you need to insert that test page into the scanner and press scan. This aligns the way the printer prints. sure you will figure it out since the ink is so damm expensive :->
