Hello,
I am looking at a computer with 2.0GHz. What are GHz and what do they do?

Also, it has a 40GB Hard Drive. How many games would store on this?

One last this, it sais it comes with a company tax invoice. What is this?

Thankyou very much.

A GHz is a Gigahertz. It is how fast the processor is. Get a really high number for games. Avoid Celerons, Pentium D's and Core Duos for games. You Need a Core 2 Duo.

If this is being sold as a gaiming system, then the reatielr needs their head seeing to. you want a large hard drive. Perhaps around 200GB. Or more.

A company tax invoice is like a reciept taht says what's in the boxes, how much you paid, how much tax there is, etc.

And I apologize if this message sounds patronistic - it is completely unintentional and not meant to insult.

2GHz is your CPU clock cycle. Celerons might have the same clock cycle. But why Pentium is faster? Because of the cache. The larger the cache the better because the CPU can work at bigger amount of data without requesting RAM for more data. And while asking the RAM for more data might take a while so it causes slowness on the PC because RAM needs to be refreshed after a certain while.

If you think you've got a bottleneck performance all the time I suggest get a CPU with bigger cache because it can work faster.

you are only giving a fragment of the information relevant..

2Ghz is only a tiny fragment of the processor relevant information. a 2Ghz could be either quite good, or pretty bad by current standards. how much power per hz changes alot.

40gb isn't very big anymore. some games are as much as 20gb now, but most are smaller.

for games its not talkingabout the video card at all this is the part that does the work for processing graphics stuff.

The 2.0 ghz means how fast your computer.Example -how fast your car engine can go.Ok.about 40 gb is depend what games u play.you may also considered about your other software.its about 10 games you can install which means average of games is 3.5gb.About company tax invoice maybe something about invoice when you needed for business sale :-)

2.0 Ghz is processor speed, read more here:

Most new hard drives have 80Gb capacity and they are now cheap. Get 80Gb so you can load more games.

Game speed and image quality are more dependent on the graphics card. Get a good one.
