On writing yesterday I took Brianthesnail advice and ordered the X1950PRO (with wifes approvall) the seasonic 500w PSU & the two 512 ram cards which takes my ram to 2gigs.The only thing I now wish to ask is on my original PSU I have a white 4 pin plug that plugs in the motherboard .Should this plug be on the new PSU.Thanks again to all the people that answered my questions and will let you all know if everything fits and works okay when it arrives.

good to see you are getting a excellent graphics card in the shape of the x1950,remember you need 2 x power connectors to run it
with regards to the power connector to the motherboard, the seasonic 500watt p.s.u has a 20pin connector so you will be fine, under its specifications it says 20+4 pin, this basically means you get a standard atx 20 pin motherboard power plug, but some other motherboards require 24pin,this is were the extra 4 pins come in,the other boards have a 20 pin connector(like yours) and another white 4pin power connector close by,but in your case the 4 pin will remain unused
dont worry the p.s.u i have at the moment has 20+4 pin but i only use the 20pin connector, the good thing about having a 20+4pin psu is if you upgrade your motherboard in the future, and it needs a 24pin power supply then you dont need to splash out again for another p.s.u
with regards to the memory, before you take it out of the packaging, either use a anti-static wristband,or easier touch a radiator pipe to discharge any static from your body,as static can damage your new memory modules
good luck with your upgrades, wow your p.c,s gonna rock when these arrive
good luck mate

YES! That's standard in new PSUs. It has two black and two yellow wires.

Do not confuse it with the detachable one that goes with the 20+4 pin main ATX connector. This one has black, red, orange and yellow wires.

Have just checked both my 325 and 480 watters here.
