That is a very nice system. The 500W should last you a very long time if you keep it cool. the only thing I would have done is get a bigger Hard drive, but great system.

Max J is wrong. The power supply hysteria needs to really stop on here, I see so many people saying 600, 700 at least. The manufacturer of the card recommends 450W. So you have to know that the manufacturere is allowing themselves some breathing room, which in reality means you could get by with 400W, hence 500 is fine. This is not an SLI setup people, calm down on the power supply.
As for what she said about the motherboard, also wrong. While I actually am not a huge fan of that chipset, it will work fine for what you are looking to do. The 680i is one of the most overrated products I have ever seen, you pay a ton of money basically for two things. One is the ability to run SLI, which allows you to spend even more money on a second card when you could easily get by with one of the 8800GTXs. The second is its overclocking ability, an area in which it is relatively poor in comparison to other chipsets.
So anyway, now that I finishe my rant, your setup is very good, and that power supply is plenty to handle it.
EDIT: To Max J, well as a matter of fact I did run it through that site before answering, I use that site myself. It said 350W, although I would certainly not recommend going that low, clearly 500W should be enough. As for overclocking 1) Did he say he was gonna overclcok? 2) Still probably wouldn't make a difference even if he did.
EDIT: Just ran it through the PSU calculator again, threw in a Sound Card, 3 case fans, and 4 sticks of RAM in addition to everything listed, plus did a processor overclock to 3.5Ghz with 1.4 VCore, and still only came to 391W.

The answer is NO. 500W isn't sufficient enough for you system. Not overclocking. That's the problem. Do you have cooling device as well? GTX itself consumes around 200W but what about chipset? Memory? Floppy? CPU?
I suggest you recommender PSU should be around 700W. Trust me the higher the PSU Watts won't hurt. If your system uses 650W and not full use of your PSU, it'll reduce wear and tear on your PSU.
Sorry I cannot rate your PC a KICKASS product. Because of outdated MOBO, Case? Mon? Benchmarking results? If you want your PC rated as a KickAss PC you should have the n680i chipset MOBO, plus SLi or Extreme CrossFire mode.
You're wasting your money on CPU because Intel is updating all the time.
Use the PSU calculator provided here. http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine to see a better result. If you use below 500W prove me wrong but what about overclocking?

You got yourself a cool system, no question on that.
Don't give yourself a heart attack thinking about the Power Supply. It s pretty ok.
And the chipset is fine too. You should not be playing havoc with your wallet on things like 'overclocking'.
If I rate your system, I would give you a 7.5 out of 10.

If the SMPS is of 500va & not watt than go for a SMPS of 700 va. Be sure about va & watt.
