I heard when you buy an Intel's processor, there will be a sticker under the heatsink, does that sticker do the same thing as thermal paste?

I have a original copy of Media mager, it was workin fine for a while and now it wont convert any videos, every thing else still works, my PC is new, IS Not connected on line, and my Norton subscription is expired, A friend said Norton might be keeping it from workin. We ran the CD on his laptop and it worked perfectly. Any help will....help.

Is there are significant difference between the two. I'm buying a computer and I'm stumped between the two. The way my computer is configured, AMD is about 100 dollars cheaper than with the Intel chip. I'm looking to save money. Which would you choose. Why?

I bought this webcam off a friend. I connected it to the computer but it says "sorry no webcam found on your computer". It suggests i might need to insert a cd rom. I have nothing of this sort.

I tryed everything, start then run and typed in MSCONFIG and went to the start up tab. I cleaned the disk, I deframented, I checked for viruses and such. So if any one can help me I would appreciate it alot! Thanks.

I jus bought a new hard drive cos my old one died, but for some reason the system isn't accepting it, even though I thought I put the right wires in the right spots, it is showing up in certain areas wen I change them around but is still not workin properly, please help!

I will explain the problem in detail… My XP was shut down improperly… Later.. when I turned it on… I went to this page tht told me tht the computer was shut down improperly and tht some hardware or software problem must hav caused it… Thn it gives me the options to go into Safe mode w/ networkin/command prompt or just safe modE… And to start windows automatically…
It doesn’t matter what I click…. The XP page (with the moving bars) loads for sometime and thn it turns off… and thn restarts…
This has happened couple of times before and I restored the computer.. but now I hav figured out tht it was because of the improper shut down… So now the computer never starts… it just comes to the XP loading page and thn turns off… thn restarts.. it keeps doin tht… what shud I do???

My USB flash drive always messes up and I can't open it sometimes because it wants me to format it. I don't know why this isn't working but I also want to know what I should format it as FAT, FAT 32, or NTFS. Also, what is the difference in capacity and allocation unit size? Thanks.

My old computer died, so I bought a new dell with vista premium. I had two hard drives on my old XP machine, and I want to transfer them over to have access to my files. I'm not sure but I think my secondary slave drive should transfer over normally, but will my old master which has XP installed on it as well as important documents that i need to get, have trouble being accessed in Vista?

I own a Lexmark Z65 home printer that keeps giving me the message that printer is not communicating with computer. Also there is a light that continues to flash on the printer. It is one of the paper tray lights. What could possibly be the problem or do I need a new printer?
