When i got my PC (5 yrs ago) it came with a Soundblaster Live! 5.1 card, i changed it for another card and it has not been used since. I now have an Apple Mac G4 and was wandering if the SB Live! 5.1 is compatible with the Mac and if so where can i get drivers for it.

Hello blicks2u,

If it doesn't mention Macintosh OS X on the packaging, then the Mac is probably not compatible with the SoundBlaster Live! I'm pretty sure that an Intel-based piece of hardware from five years ago will not work with your PowerPC processor-based Macintosh. That wouldn't be very surprising would it?

However, if the manufacturer of SoundBlaster has a web site, they might have something on there about Macintosh compatibility. Somehow I doubt it. Sell it to one of your Windows friends and make some money on it.

To be honest I would say not, I'm a PC expert but useless on macs mind, it just doesn't seem like something that would work to me.
