I bought this webcam off a friend. I connected it to the computer but it says "sorry no webcam found on your computer". It suggests i might need to insert a cd rom. I have nothing of this sort.

Well, if it says "sorry no webcam found..." you tell him to please look again. jk

If its new like you say you should have the driver CD, if not at the manufacturers website you can download the appropriate driver. I have no idea what brand your webcam is so I cant lead you to any website. Hope this helps.

When you plug the webcam up does the computer reconize it? If so, you will need to provide the webcam make and model and I may be able to locate a driver for you/

Since you didn't tell us the Make 7 Modle of the camera I can only tell you to go to the webcam's Manufacturer's website and download the DRIVER for it.

You HAVE to install the DRIVER for the webcam so Windows can make use of it.

First off remove the cam for the pc.. now look for the make and model # for the cam. go the the manufatutes web site (ie if its a logitech cam then "www.logitech.com") and look for a link that say support or driver donwlaods somthing to that affect.. U must find ur spicfic cam and then downlaod the drives for it.. Remember dont connect the cam untill u have installed the drives and the setup tells u too....
