my laptop accepts DDR2-533 PC2-4200. I want to transfer one 256MB RAM from my desktop computer to my laptop.. is it possible?

ive been trying to defragment my files on the DATA (D:) drive, but the problem is there is only 1% free space remaining and therefore its not having any result, ive used the disc clean up but this isnt doing anything either! What shall i do? Please help, ps im not very computer friendly lol!

When I first bought my laptop I could get 2.5 - 3 hours of battery life. Here in the last few weeks I have noticed it has slowly decreased to the point where it only lasts about an hour and a half. Any ideas on why or what has caused this

It is a brand new computer... It was working fine for the first month or so, the only time it would restart was when I was playing a game. (Its still does that... and I don't know why.) now the screen turns off whenever I start to do other things too like watch movies or even just going on azureus or something. It did it three times today when I first started the computer up, I changed the screen resolution to the highest that it would go and it stopped restarting all the time. Is there something wrong with my video card? Oooor my screen? Oooor the user?

I have this strange noise coming from my computer. It sounds a lot like a chirping cricket. It's a brand new Compac Presario. The thing is.....my old computer, a Dell, made the same noise. I was just given a Sony Vaio PCG-731 and want to upgrade it to use the internet and maybe watch short trailers and such with ease and without it taking a long time to load. I am willing to put some money into it; but nothing over board (around maybe $150 give or take). It currently has a Hitachi 10GB Hard Drive and a 64MB. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

I plan on upgrading to Windows Vista Home Premium. I currently have a stock video card - the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 - and I'm pretty sure that's not gonna cut it for Home Premium. I want to get a new card for my PCI-E slot and I'm wondering what's out there for around $100 or less that will be good for Home Premium. Suggestions?
