It is a brand new computer... It was working fine for the first month or so, the only time it would restart was when I was playing a game. (Its still does that... and I don't know why.) now the screen turns off whenever I start to do other things too like watch movies or even just going on azureus or something. It did it three times today when I first started the computer up, I changed the screen resolution to the highest that it would go and it stopped restarting all the time. Is there something wrong with my video card? Oooor my screen? Oooor the user?

Sounds like the connection might be a bit loose.
Check the connections are tight, and that none of the pins are bent.
If that fails, just take it back.
BTW your restarting problems mean you a) don't have a powerful enough power supply b) your system is overheating - needs more fans c) there is a problem with u your power supply or u need a surge protector.
Good Luck.

Well - It could be any of the reasons that you mentioned, but here is what you might want to check.

If you bought a new computer say from DELL or some pre-configured machines the Video card will be just fine. Chances are the connections that you have. If you are using DVI cabled try using the regular VGA (15pin) cable instead. Make sure you unplug the cable that you are not using to connect to the monitor (this is if you have a FLAT panel monitor)

If it's a regular monitor again check the cables and make sure it's tight and screwed up. Hope this helps.

Check the pins in the back to ensure one isn't bent. Aside from that, there may be a short where the cord connects to the display.

To verify that the problem isn't inside your computer, try hooking up a different monitor using a different connector cable.
