I have a desktop that I built myself. I have an Asus motherboard and a 2.8 proccessor. I have an Nvidia 256 video card and a
300 gig maxtor hard drive. Recently my computer keeps shutting down and restarting itself. Everytime it does i let it run scan disc
but usually no probs are found. I ran anti virus but no virus found.
I have a spyware killer and ran that but found no spyware.
The error report keeps saying Device Driver Error, but all my device drivers have been updated and are ok. Every now and then when it starts up it goes to a blue screen that says
DRIVER_IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.
It usually shuts down when I play media files or games. Sometimes when I am just typing or on the internet.
I thought it was running to hot, so I increased my fan speed
and disabled the temp shutdown feature, but it still does it.
Any idea of whats wrong?

I have a Lexmark X73 (printer/scanner combo) and I've lost the installation disc for it. The computer (Windows XP) recognizes what it is when I hook up the X73 and prompts me to install the software for it. Is there somewhere I can download the software for it or something, or am I screwed until I find the installation disc? Thanks in advance.

I am thinking of buying a c2d with T7200 2ghz processor but am confused with all this santa rosa talk.

Should I wait for Santa Rosa what are its benefits and what will be its cost compared to the current core 2 duo technologies

With the flash hard drives robson technology and the draft n wireless be incorporated in consumer budget entertainment laptops like Dell E1505 or HP DV6000t at current price levels of < 1500$ or all these technologies be available for premium pricing i guess what i am asking what do you estimate will be price range for a santa rosa based notebook with the flash memory and n wireless etc. Also is the current technology not suitable for vista I am getting the impression that this technology is somewhat a compromise for vista ? Also to use the flash memory capability wouldnt the current computer models have to be redesigned ? Are these santa rosa technologies a must for a common user or more high end user who can pay more

Ugh, computer issues always seem to find me. My husband got me a Dell Laptop for Christmas and about every 5 words the spacebar doesn't work and I have to backspace to correct it. This JUST started happening. I type fast (80 wpm) so at first I thought maybe that was the problem, but I didn't notice it before.. and really even if I type fast that shouldn't happen. It's a Dell Inspiron 1501. I don't know if it's still covered by warranty or what. They give you like 20589325 pages of stuff when you buy it and I didn't read through everything. Any advice? THanks.

Looking at 2 possible laptops, identical except that one has a NVidia GeForce Go 6100 integrated video card and the other has NVidia GeForce Go 7600. Although I will originally be using XP, upgrading to Vista is likely. Both setups are "Vista Ready" according to NVidia but I want to make sure if I decide to save $$ by going with the Go 6100 machine (about $150 less and already very high on my budget) that it can handle Vista without slowing down too much.

I will also be using the notebook to connect to a video projector (InFocus SP4805) using DVI output which both machines can do. I plan to watch normal DVDs but perhaps HD TV in the future.

Any thoughts or experiences to guide me in the right direction?

I'll try to be brief....bought laptop several months go and set up a wireless network. My PC caught ADWARE and after many attempts to get rei of it I was advised to reload windows (XP SP2). This got rid of the ADWARE but aso got rid of my network. When I try to access MSHOME I get a message that "I should contact the network administrator as I do not have sufficient privileges" ( or something along those lines).
On a side note my laptop now has adware that I can't shift, I've tried all the usual (spybot etc...) to no avail. I can't reload windows as the laptop came with SW that is not on the recovery disc.

I would appreciate any ideas.....many thanks
