With what has gone on with batteries and laptops in recent months, asking which battery to use in your Dell here on Answers is not a great idea.

The best thing you can do is to do some research on the Dell website or with their tech support and make sure you get the correct battery that is recommended by the manufacturer.

Since OVERHEATING or FIRE are real possibilities you need to go to Dell.
