Ugh, computer issues always seem to find me. My husband got me a Dell Laptop for Christmas and about every 5 words the spacebar doesn't work and I have to backspace to correct it. This JUST started happening. I type fast (80 wpm) so at first I thought maybe that was the problem, but I didn't notice it before.. and really even if I type fast that shouldn't happen. It's a Dell Inspiron 1501. I don't know if it's still covered by warranty or what. They give you like 20589325 pages of stuff when you buy it and I didn't read through everything. Any advice? THanks.

Yes it is still covered by warranty. The lowest you can get from Dell is 90 days. However, your issue may be as simple as something stuck under the spacebar.

Get one of those compressed cans of air and blow out the area around the spacebar. Most cans come with a little straw you can attach. Slide that gently under the sparebar and shoot out some air. Hold the laptop at an angle so if there is anything in there it fall out.

Call Dell. More than likely they'll replace it!
