My computer does not detect a printer. but the pinter works it scans and copy stuff but not print.please help?

First, check to see that you have the cables for the printer properly hooked up to the correct input plugs in the computer and printer.
Did you receive a CD with the printer? If so, turn on the printer, and then insert the CD to load the driver software for it. If you didn't get a CD, go to the website of the manufacturer and look for their download page to download the driver for the printer that way. Then install it. Good luck.
