I want to upgrade the memory (RAM) of my Mac G5. But is there a specific kind I need to buy or you recommend?

You didn't state what year your G5 is, as some use different types than others...I would recommend going to www.apple.com
Click on the specs tab and type in your computer....it will let you know what type of memory you need.
You can also go to your system profiler by clicking on the blue apple, than chosing about this mac....than select more info
This is all the information about your computer...so you could chose memory from the left side

they have a simple guide -- choose the manufacturer and the model and you got it.
